This new, high-performance suspension technology is available for the first time on Mustang. This revolutionary system responds to the road, conditions and how you’re driving, 1,000 times per second, and can make an almost instant adjustment to each wheel’s suspension. That’s because the viscosity of a special, metallic particle filled fluid in each damper can be controlled by exposing it to magnetic energy, electronically. And the result is optimal response and greater comfort and control wherever you’re driving.

Few things make the heart beat faster than hearing the satisfying growl of a powerful engine. And Active Valve Exhaust is a new technology designed to create a deeper, rumble and roar based on the amount of throttle you apply. There’s also a Quiet Mode which you can switch to in more peaceful surroundings.

SYNC 3 is our most advanced version to date. It’s faster and easier to use, with enhanced voice commands and even more functionality. The new interface has larger buttons for improved usability, and the 8” colour Touchscreen now features pinch-and-swipe gestures found on smartphones and tablets for even more intuitive navigation. SYNC 3 also features AppLink, Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto, to display your smartphone’s information on the touchscreen.

Using a front camera and radar, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection identifies vehicles and pedestrians in the road ahead, or who could cross the vehicle’s path at speeds of up to 80 km/h (50 mph), and warns you of their presence. If you don’t respond, the system automatically applies the brakes. This new technology is designed to help reduce the severity of accidents, or help avoid them altogether, and functions between 5kph and the maximum speed of the vehicle.
