An available intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system can determine how much grip, cornering balance and responsiveness is required in wet, dry or icy conditions and on varying terrain. The technology is able to send drive to the front or rear axle depending on requirements. And this ‘torque on demand’ system delivers exceptional handling and improved efficiency.

Versatile seating provides generous space for up to seven, with folding second- and third-row seats enabling numerous seating and stowage configurations. For example, the second-row and third-row seats can be folded flat at the press of a button making instant room for your sporting gear or bulky DIY purchases.

Stress-free parking

Using a combination of different technologies, Active Park Assist does more than steer you into parallel parking spots. With Park Out Assist (POA), it helps you pull out of them, too. The Perpendicular Parking (PPA) system can sense if there’s space for your car to fit, then reverse you in. Side Parking Aid (SPA) also warns you if there are any lateral obstructions.

Pre-Collision Assist

Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection detects people and vehicles in the road ahead, or who could cross the vehicle’s path, and warns you of their presence. If you don’t respond, the system automatically applies the brakes. This new technology is designed to help reduce the severity of accidents, or help avoid them altogether, and functions at speeds of up to 50 mph (80 km/h).

LED Headlamps

Optional Adaptive lighting with Ford Dynamic LED headlamps aren’t just striking; they’re smart. A series of LEDs deliver a precise light pattern and their intensely bright natural light provides exceptional illumination. Day time running lights are also included. And LED tracer turn indicator strips replace traditional ‘blinking’ lights, illuminating in sequence for high visibility to other drivers. In addition, Glare Free High Beam adjusts itself automatically, maximising visibility without dazzling other drivers. Remarkably, these new headlamps/lights also follow the road, helping you to see more clearly when driving around bends.)
